Sensory Overload. This workshop is designed to give parents and carers practical tools, insight, and confidence to better support their loved ones when sensory challenges arise. Gain deeper understanding, practical strategies, tips and a chance to share and learn with other families. This interactive workshop is be led by Lenora Borsje. Coffee and tea will be provided. Sleep and Neurodiversity. This workshop will be led by our guest speaker... and is designed to support parents and carers by providing practical knowledge, strategies, and reassurance. Together with our guest speaker, we’ll explore ways to promote healthier sleep routines that are tailored to the unique needs of neurodiverse families. You will learn why sleep can be different for autistic children, ADHDers, and others with neurodiverse profiles, the impact of sleep on learning, behaviour, and emotional well-being, common barriers to sleep: sensory sensitivities, anxiety, routines, and body clock differences, practical strategies and sleep-friendly environments, tools that can help-from visual supports to calming bedtime routines, and where to go for further help and professional support. Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA). This workshop will help parents and carers deepen their understanding of PDA, explore practical strategies, and connect with others who share similar experiences. An interactive presentation led by Lenora Borsje who is an experienced PDA trainer. You will gain knowledge of the PDA profile and its characteristics, insights into the underlying anxiety and need for autonomy, approaches that promote collaboration and reduce conflict at home, and practical tools for communication, flexibility, and problem‑solving. Eating disorders PICA/ARFID & Neurodiversity. Feeding and eating can be complex for neurodiverse children, and conditions like Pica (eating non-food items) and ARFID (Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder) are often misunderstood. This workshop offers practical support, information, tips and strategies for families navigating PICA and ARFID challenges in a safe and understanding space. Together with our guest speaker..., we’ll cover understanding eating disorders in neurodiverse contexts, everyday support, practical strategies, supporting your child emotionally, and where to turn for help.
